Eric Mathews - Fanfare

© Eric Mathews 1995

This golden newy, is the only song that I have heard Mark play twice in a single show on the Graveyard shift. It is one of those rare clasics that you either love or love. Find it lying in one of those bargain bins at the dodgy bloke stall, cost around 99p. I must apologise in advance to Eric, as I know some of the words to fanfare are wrong. Any corrections are welcomed.

(Trumpet Intro)
Did I hear you right you'll to see me now,
I changed my mind from listening to you,
I put some stretch to fight beside you,
Holes on fire that burn like childhood smile,
It might be late, but time is guiding,
But open minds, defy disguising,

Hiding guides world, binding unto no man,
I'm listening out for words,
For we needs appoint true love.....blue bell, that's real, yeah, yeah,
(Trumpet interlude)

Answer some questions, that I hear you had,
I've seen your tears, and heard you grinding,
Those upper limits, still lie beside me,
And if they find, what they shared was real,
So lets stand around or wear disguises,
Have open time and lap surprises,

And tie them up to ground,
With yearnings that must since be filled,
If it's not to late, I'd love to know,
Is what your feeling down low,
So super low, I know, and I know it's my childhood dream.

Eric the honey is wanting you now at Subpop.
