It's true our beloved Mark Radcliffe is a nerd. The following article from the Guardian explains all.

Age: About 30

Appearance: Usually male, often with glasses, spots and greasy hair. Favourite clothes include patterend tank top, flared cords, small knotted ties. Not forgetting of course - the anorack.

Also known as: Dweeb.

Likes: Computers; Pot-noodles; e-mailing nwesgroups in obscure US states.

Dislikes:Human interaction; personal hygiene.

How Revolting:Absolutely...not!!!!

Huh? look here Mr Fashion with your poncey new typeface, nerds are now cool.

Any evidence? They're everywhere. Mark Radcliffe on the radio, Dennis Pennis on the telly, that bloke in the Eels. Even megastars Liam Gallagher and Jarvis Cocker now own a pair of desert boots.

I see. Liam Gallagher. It's really official then: The oh-so-repectable forecasters at the Henley Center certainly think s. "In the last two years, the nerd has become trendy and quite chic in the fashion worldand expression is less pejorative than ever before," it claims in it's latest study.
